How to care for your Beaucarnea

How to care for your Beaucarnea

Proudly grown at our nursery, the Beaucarnea guatemalensis is commonly known as the ponytail palm.

It has become a popular ornamental plant worldwide due to its unique appearance, ease of care, and ability to tolerate neglect. It is grown as a houseplant or as a landscape specimen in gardens and parks in suitable climates.

LIGHT

Place your ponytail palm in a location where it can receive plenty of bright, indirect sunlight. These plants prefer bright light but can tolerate some direct sunlight, especially in the morning or late afternoon.

WATER

Beaucarnea are drought-tolerant plants and are sensitive to overwatering. Allow the soil to dry out almost completely between waterings, then thoroughly water the soil.

CARE

Trim off any dead or yellowing leaves as needed. You can also prune back any unwanted growth to maintain a more compact shape.
